THE EFFECT OF ADHESION PROTEINS COATED ON TITANIUM DISCS ON THE ATTATCHMENT OF HUMAN PDL CELLS AND GINGIVAL FIBROBLAST

Abstract
-Abstract-
The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the adhesiveness of human PDL
and gingival fibroblasts to attatachment protein-coates titanium disc. Adhesive proteins
were used, They were type ¥³ collagen, fibronectin, laminin and vitronectin. Each
adhesive proteins applied onto the titanium discs. After 1, 3, 6 hours incubation time,
attached cells counted with hematocytometer for evaluation of the adhesiveness of
human PDL and gingival fibroblast. The results were as follows :
1. Adhesiveness of human gingival fibrobalsts were best in fibronectin-coated group
among groups. Then laminin, type ¥³ collagen and vitronectin were better, and there
were no significant difference between type ¥° collagen group and control.
2. Adhesiveness of human PDL fibroblasts were also best in fibronectin-coated group.
Then vitronectin, laminin and type ¥³ collagen were better, and there no significant
difference between type ¥° and control.
3. In comparison of PDL fibroblasts and gingival fibroblasts, Adhesiveness of gingival
fibroblasts were better in type ¥³ collagen and laminin-coated group and that of PDL
fibroblasts were better in vitronectiion coated groups.
4. On the bases of these findings, it is suggested that adhesive proteins coating at
titanium promotes attatchment of human PDL and gingival fibroblasts
